Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Melrakki AB (“we”) handles personal data in the AleaGolf app for iPhone and Apple Watch and on the aleagolf.com website. Melrakki AB is the data controller.
In short: AleaGolf has no ads and no data brokers. We don’t sell your data. You can use the app without an account, turn analytics off in Settings, and delete your account — and the data connected to it — from inside the app.
Data we process
Account data
You can score rounds without an account; your data then stays on your device. If you sign in — with Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In — we receive an account identifier and, depending on the provider and your choices, your name and email address. You also choose a display name shown to people you play with.
Golf data
Rounds, scores, statistics, side-game balances (points only — never money), groups and tournaments, your clubs and typical distances, and courses you save. When you are signed in, this data syncs to our servers so it is available across your devices and in shared rounds.
Shared rounds and groups
When you join a shared round or group, your display name, scores and side-game standings are visible to the other participants of that round or group.
Location
During an active round, AleaGolf uses GPS to show distances to the green and other points on the course. Precise coordinates are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. Weather used for playing-distance estimates is fetched for the course, not for your personal whereabouts.
Diagnostics and analytics
We use crash reporting and usage analytics to keep the app reliable. Events are designed not to contain personal content. You can turn analytics and crash reporting off in the app’s Settings at any time.
Purchases
If you buy a subscription, the purchase is processed by Apple. We receive entitlement status (what you have access to), never your payment details.
Why we process data
- To provide the service (contract): accounts, sync, shared rounds, statistics.
- To keep the service reliable and secure (legitimate interest): diagnostics, abuse prevention.
- With your consent, where applicable — which you can withdraw at any time, for example by disabling analytics in Settings.
Where your data goes
We use Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, cloud functions, analytics, crash reporting and app integrity) to run the AleaGolf service, and Apple for sign-in, weather (Apple Weather) and purchases. These providers process data on our behalf under their respective data processing terms. Some processing may take place outside the EU/EEA; where it does, it is covered by safeguards such as the EU standard contractual clauses. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers.
Course geometry in AleaGolf is partly derived from OpenStreetMap; this concerns map data about golf courses, not data about you.
Retention
Account and golf data are kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete the data associated with it. Diagnostics and analytics data are kept only for limited periods. Website: aleagolf.com sets no cookies and runs no trackers; invitation pages never read your app data.
Deleting your account
Open Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app. This permanently deletes your sign-in and removes all AleaGolf data stored on your device. We then delete or anonymize the data associated with your account in our systems. You can also request deletion — or ask for confirmation that it is complete — by emailing us (address below). Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent. Contact us using the details below and we will respond. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) or your local supervisory authority.
Children
AleaGolf is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, inform you in the app or on this site.
