These terms apply to the AleaGolf app for iPhone and Apple Watch and the aleagolf.com website, operated by Melrakki AB, a company registered in Sweden. By using AleaGolf you accept these terms.
The service
AleaGolf helps you score golf rounds, play formats and side games with friends, see course information and distances, and follow your statistics over time. Some features require an account and an internet connection; scoring without an account keeps data on your device only.
Your account
You can sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping access to your device and sign-in method secure. You must provide information that is accurate and yours.
Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the service — including attempting to access other users’ data, disrupting or overloading the service, scraping or bulk-extracting course data, reverse engineering the app except where the law permits it, or using AleaGolf for anything unlawful.
On-course information is an aid, not an authority
GPS positions, course maps, distances, playing-distance estimates and club suggestions are estimates. They depend on device sensors, weather data, mapped course geometry (partly derived from OpenStreetMap) and your own recorded data, and they can be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for your own decisions on the course, for verifying local rules, and for following the rules of any competition you play in. Statistics and handicap trends in AleaGolf are informational and are not an official handicap.
Side games are points, not payments
AleaGolf’s side games track standings and settlements in points, emojis or units your group chooses. AleaGolf does not hold, transfer or settle money, and is not a gambling or payment service. Any arrangement your group makes around a game is your own responsibility and must comply with the laws that apply to you.
Shared rounds
When you join a shared round, group or tournament, your display name, scores and standings are visible to its participants. Organizers can invite others using links or QR codes; treat invitation links like something you’d only hand to people you want in the round.
Purchases and subscriptions
If AleaGolf offers paid subscriptions, they are sold through Apple’s App Store: prices are shown there before you buy, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel any time in your Apple account settings (cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period). Use “Restore Purchases” in the app to restore an existing subscription on a new device. Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms. Where Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies, it governs your license to the app to the extent it conflicts with these terms.
Intellectual property
The app, the site, and their content and branding belong to Melrakki AB or its licensors. Your golf data remains yours; you give us the permission needed to store and process it to run the service (see the privacy policy). Course geometry partly derived from OpenStreetMap is used under its applicable license.
Termination
You can stop using AleaGolf and delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm the service or its users.
Availability and liability
AleaGolf is provided “as is”. We work to keep it reliable, but we don’t promise uninterrupted availability or error-free operation, and we may change or discontinue features. To the extent permitted by law, Melrakki AB is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes are handled by the courts of Sweden, with the District Court of Gothenburg as first instance — unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to another venue.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. If we make significant changes, we will update the date above and inform you in the app or on this site.
